Okay I know that you all are waiting on baited breath for the update wondering where the hell is she. Well let’s say the refund on the deposit for the rental car took a little longer to get back into the bank account which in turn was necessary to pay the disconnect on the phone that powers the dial up. Yadda Yadda. Life is now good. I seriously hugged my computer when the Internet started up again. It has been far too long my friends.

Anywho.

Drive to Utah uneventful. Finding the hotel. Well yeah. Directions are not our strong suit (did I mention my husband’s a cop – something wrong with that picture :) ). We decide to walk about 3 – 4 blocks to the Salt Palace where the event is taking place. Again, did I mention the direction thing. Wow we sucked at that. I told my husband we need to head to the tall buildings. We went straight the way he wanted to go. Needless to say the wrong way. 3 blocks the wrong way. Two blocks over, 3 back. Good thing I wore my tennies. So there is only one restaurant around the bloomin building and I say let’s eat there (Olive Garden). He says, let’s look around. Time is running short, I’m antsy. La te da. 10 minutes later, we’re back. Good food. Ordered, arrived, and eaten in 30 minutes. Walk over to the event.  Get there.  I evidently didn’t have tickets. Thought I did and have an email with verification for it (of course not with me). I’m almost crying. Nancy with Hay House very nice gave us tickets and advised us to send proof into the Hay House people or else we would be charged again. Low and behold. A screw up happened and I wasn’t ever charged. How utterly embarrassing. Got into the event. There was about 3000 people there. Our seats were pretty good. I just had to let go of the emotions that I experienced before the show because other wise it was going to ruin it for me.

Colette Baron-Reid

Colette opened for Sylvia and I really didn’t know anything about her and the readings that she does. She is freakin funny. Very down to earth.  At one time she was doing a reading for 2 different people and trying to figure out which one the message applied to  and asked which one came from a big family of like 6 kids. They kind of looked at her like duh. She was like OMG we are in Utah never mind. Then another time she let the s**t word fly and that was funny. I bought her book Messages From Spirit since she was so entertaining. I am almost half done and it is very good so far. Will post on it when I finish.

Sylvia Browne

She was funny also. It wasn’t how I thought it was going to be, nor was it how it was described when I “bought” the tickets in January. She didn’t talk at all about the new book. She kinda regurgitated old stuff that I have read in her older books. She mentioned that her waiting list is 8 years. Hello. She said that she was doing a tour some while back and went to like a Burger King for some alone time and to eat in solace. Anyways. This guy was sitting nearby and asked if she was that lady that knows stuff. She rolls her eyes and says yes. He then said if know stuff, what is my name. She said that she looked at him and replied, “Asshole!” It was funny to hear. I was sitting around some Mormon people so it was funny watching them when she cursed. (Nothing against the Mormon’s – my brother is one).

Alrighty then. Recap. I did feel like when Colette was giving a reading for this one girl that it applied to me. Very comforting. Sylvia was funnier then expected. Got an autograph from Colette not Sylvia and that is okay. Had a great time in Utah.

Oh and did I mention that we only walked 2 blocks the wrong way on the way back to the hotel? I need GPS jewelry.

Love ya,

M.
